Direction of PEI Express Entry

This flow is aimed at attracting qualified workers. But unlike many other streams, applying for PEI Express Entry does not require a job offer from the PEI employer at the time of submitting the EOI profile. Candidates are assessed on a point system based on factors such as age, language proficiency, education, work experience, employment, and adaptability.

Basic requirements:

  • Create an Express Entry profile and get into the candidate pool. To get into the pool, you need to meet the requirements of one of the programs.:
    • Federal Skilled Worker Program. At least one year of continuous full-time work in a qualified profession (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3), secondary education and the appropriate level of language proficiency (CLB/NCLC 7).
    • Canadian Experience Class. At least one year of full-time experience in Canada in a qualified profession (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3) in the last three years, language proficiency (CLB/NCLC 7 for NOC 0 and A, CLB/NCLC 5 for NOC B) with no minimum education requirements.
    • Federal Skilled Trades Program. At least two years of full-time full-time experience in a qualified profession (NOC groups 72, 73, 82, 92, 63), having a job offer in Canada or a certificate of qualification, language proficiency (CLB/NCLC 5 for speaking and listening, CLB/NCLC 4 for reading and writing).
  • Creating a profile in the Expression of Interest (EOI) system at the PEI level. The EOI profile remains active for six months. To create a profile, you must provide a valid email address and passport details.
  • Compliance with the requirements of the PEI program:
    • Age from 18 to 59 years.
    • At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • At least one year of work experience in the relevant profession.
    • The minimum level of knowledge of English or French is CLB/NCLC 4.
    • A demonstration of the intention to reside on Prince Edward Island.
    • Sufficient financial resources to cover all immigration expenses and support your stay at PEI.

So, the Prince Edward Island Nomination Program (PEIPNP) includes seven different streams. Each of them has its own specific requirements, but they are all united by common criteria: relevant work experience, sufficient command of the official languages of Canada (minimum CLB 4), proven education and financial independence.

The flexibility of the program in relation to professional categories deserves special attention — from highly qualified specialists (TEER 0-3) to middle-level employees (TEER 4-5) in high-demand sectors. This makes PEIPNP accessible to a wide range of potential immigrants with different skill levels and work experience.
