In the Admiralteysky district of St. Petersburg, work has begun on the reconstruction of outdoor lighting in Voskresensky Square.
Power engineers will place 21 lanterns along the alleys of the square. The work is scheduled to be completed this year.
For more than 60 years, the 71-hectare square was illuminated by only 4 hanging lamps, which were attached to cable extensions stretched from building to building.
The new lighting system will be located along the pedestrian paths, as well as on the playground, and will provide a comfortable pastime on the territory of the park in the autumn-winter period.
