Over the past eight years, the portrait of a buyer of St. Petersburg comfort and business class real estate has changed significantly, RBI Group analysts found out.
Thus, buyers of business class apartments have become less “experienced” in buying real estate. If in 2016 only a quarter of them bought an apartment for the first time in their lives, now there are already a third of them.
In addition, buyers in this segment are in no hurry to have children. Eight years ago, 64% of business class home buyers had children under the age of 18, today only 57%. In the comfort class, on the contrary, the share of buyers with children increased slightly – from 51 to 54%.
In comfort class, more often than in business, they buy an apartment “for themselves” – 79% versus 69%. But clients prefer to invest more in business-class residential real estate – about 18% of transactions are carried out for investment purposes, whereas in comfort class – 11%. Almost two thirds of investors are people aged 45-54.
