Large investors will have an indefinite opportunity to exchange land with the state

A government bill has been submitted to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, according to which the opportunity for large investors to change private land plots to public ones will be made indefinite.

We are talking about concluding a contract for the exchange of one or more sites for the implementation of large-scale investment projects or the placement of social, infrastructural, communal and cultural facilities.

The authorities should fix this possibility, which is valid until the end of 2024, in the Land Code on a permanent basis. This will reduce the costs of land exchange, contribute to the development of territories, create infrastructure for residents, a comfortable urban environment and new jobs.

If the law is adopted, it will come into force on January 1, 2025, the Parliamentary Newspaper reports.
