Today, human capital is one of the main drivers of the development of the socio-economic well-being of the country. People are at the center of national ideas: realizing the potential of every citizen, increasing the birth rate, creating a safe and encouraging environment.

Investments in human capital are becoming increasingly important, therefore, development companies are also paying attention to this aspect, which in their projects create comfortable conditions for the development of each person’s resource abilities.

Specialists of Glavstroy Group decided to find out whether, in the opinion of Russians, infrastructure and the development environment affect the development of a person and the younger generation. More than 1,000 people aged 18 to 65 years living throughout the Russian Federation took part in the survey.

Thus, according to the data obtained, society has the greatest influence on the development of the younger generation, according to respondents, 39% of respondents believe so. In second place – the strength and work of parents, 18%, in third place – the personal qualities of a person, 14%. Another 13% of Russians note that the development is influenced by the infrastructure at home and urban spaces. The remaining 16% did not mention any of the above.

At the same time, more than half of the respondents, 57%, consider the presence of a developed children’s infrastructure, both educational and entertainment, to be an important component for the future place of residence. Another 30% agree that children’s facilities will not be superfluous. Only 13% of respondents do not pay attention to infrastructure solutions for the younger generation.

The company also asked which children’s infrastructure facilities respondents are guided by when choosing housing. More than a third of Russians, 36%, view facilities that include secondary schools. 19% mention clubs and sections of additional education, for 16% it is important to have kindergartens, for 12% – playgrounds. One in nine respondents notes the importance of specialized schools that have been gaining popularity in recent years. The remaining 5% would prefer to live near the university.

Interestingly, when asked which objects of entertainment and educational infrastructure should necessarily be part of a modern residential complex, Russians put functional places for children’s leisure in the first place, 28% of respondents answered this way. 25% support the presence of educational institutions for children aged 7 to 18 years. 21% of respondents consider it necessary to arrange walking areas, another 18% – playgrounds. Only 8% of the survey participants supported the mandatory availability of infrastructure for children aged 0 to 7 years.

“In our projects, we pay special attention to social infrastructure as an opportunity to improve life in the entire region of our presence. The sociocultural program of the company includes the formation of a high–quality urban environment and community, which is so important for the qualitative development of society,” says Alexey Artoshin, commercial director of the Glavstroy Regions development company. – At the same time, the share of buyers with children in the total demand for our projects prevails. Therefore, the construction of children’s and educational infrastructure facilities is one of the most important tasks that the developer faces today in close cooperation with municipalities. So, in one of our projects in the Moscow region, a large-scale educational cluster has been implemented to teach about 3.5 thousand children of different ages.”

The request for infrastructure for human development is also relevant for large regional centers. For example, in the Northern Capital, the developer Glavstroy St. Petersburg has already built and commissioned 20 social facilities in the Vyborg and Primorsky districts of the city.

“We are building two large projects for the integrated development of the territory in St. Petersburg. Schools, kindergartens and polyclinics are an integral part of the ecosystem of modern residential neighborhoods, — saysAnna Lyakh, Director of Human Resources Management at Glavstroy St. Petersburg. – In addition to analyzing customer preferences, it is important to focus on public policy and work in tandem with the city. Our company cooperates with both federal centers of additional education, as well as with higher educational institutions and colleges, opening specialized educational clusters on the basis of built schools – in construction, urbanism and IT. This approach allows us not only to assist high school students in choosing future specialties, but also to popularize those professions in which there is a shortage of personnel, but which are so important for maintaining the economy of both individual regions and the country as a whole.”
