The digital nomad visa in Thailand is a type of 5-year long-term LTR visa for remote employees of large companies. The Thai authorities simply call it the Digital Nomad Visa, and it was this name that was picked up by the media and bloggers at the time. Applications for LTR for “digital nomads” will be accepted from September 1, 2022, and will be accepted by the BOI. A 5-year multivisa makes it possible to live comfortably in In Thailand on a permanent basis and legally work for an employer in another country, but the requirements for the applicant are the same as for those wishing to obtain other LTR visas. Requirements for an LTR visa as a digital Nomad
- Personal income of at least 80 thousand dollars per year for two years at the time of application;

- An employer from among publicly traded companies or private companies that have been operating for at least three years with a total revenue of at least $150 million over the past three years;
- At least five years of work experience in the field of current employment over the past 10 years;
- Medical insurance with coverage of at least 50 thousand dollars;
- Social insurance covering treatment in Thailand;
- A deposit of 100 thousand dollars.
The visa fee is 50 thousand. Baht ($1,375). The application is submitted through the BOI website. The same structure checks whether the applicant meets the criteria of the program.
