Apartment rental rates continue to rise in St. Petersburg

According to the CIAN agency, the cost of renting a studio apartment in St. Petersburg has increased by 9% over the past month. The average price of offers is 40.4 thousand rubles, a year ago this figure was 28.9 thousand rubles. The average monthly growth in the country was 3.7% with a price of 29.4 thousand rubles, writes RBC.

Earlier, the Yandex.Rent service called Polyustrovo, Zvezdnoye and Kolomyagi the most popular areas for renting housing, while at the beginning of July the rates in these locations did not exceed 40 thousand rubles per month.

CIAN analysts attribute the rise in prices in large Russian cities to the early start of seasonal demand. However, the factor previously voiced by experts — the tightening of mortgage loans – also affects. In large cities, including St. Petersburg, the fastest growth in rates is noted. According to CIAN analysts, the situation is complicated by the small volume of supply.

Rental rates for one—room apartments also increased in Moscow, Yekaterinburg and the Leningrad Region by 7%, in Kazan and Rostov-on-Don by 5%. At the same time, a slight reduction in the cost of rent is noted in Perm and Nizhny Novgorod. According to CIAN analysts, by the beginning of autumn, rent may increase in price by another 10-15%.
