British tourists are stuck in an unfinished hotel in Turkey after missing a return flight due to a global IT glitch. Their story was shared by the Daily Mail tabloid.
George Williams-Sales was on vacation in Dalaman with his girlfriend Lulu Mann. On July 19, they were supposed to return to London, but their flight was first delayed and then canceled due to a software glitch around the world.

The TUI tour operator was able to provide the couple with a backup flight only after five days, and put them in an unfinished hotel for the waiting period. Although the company paid for accommodation, tourists were forced to spend money on food, drinks and communication.
“The hot water was intermittent there. Some of the food was warmed up and reused the next day,” the Briton said. “I remember cutting up the Brussels sprouts that we ate the day before and it was brown inside.”
Travelers called the experience “madness.” “I just can’t believe how terrible it all was,” Williams-Sales protested.
Earlier, the Russian woman suffered a heart attack during her vacation and fell into a coma. Her family cannot take her out of Turkey because of a million-dollar debt to the clinic.
