The average period of sale of apartments on the secondary market in Russia has grown 1.5 times in the last quarter. According to REN TV, now the deadline is 138 days instead of 92.
“On the one hand, there are 15-20% fewer buyers due to the reduced availability of mortgage loans, on the other hand, those who are now looking for an apartment began to look at significantly more options in the hope of finding an object with the maximum discount,” explained Alexander Ivanov, a leading analyst at the federal company Floors.
According to the results of the first half of the year, as Ivanov noted, the terms of sale of apartments may increase by another 15-20%. This will happen, among other things, due to a gradual increase in the volume of supply in the secondary housing market.
