The summer tourist season in Turkey has opened — the Bodrum resort announced the solemn meeting of the first charter flight with tourists. According to the Turkish press, Milas-Bodrum Airport has accepted the first international SunExpress charters with German tourists from Frankfurt and Dusseldorf. At the same time, Russian flights are also named among the charter flights that are eagerly awaited at the resort.

The details are as follows — a total of 360 tourists arrived on the first flights – we are talking about SunExpress flights XQ 463 on March 24, from Frankfurt at 14.20 and flight XQ 659 from Dusseldorf at 23.50. Upon arrival, the tourists were greeted with flowers and a solemn welcoming ceremony for the first flight, which was attended by Yucel Karadavut, Chief Manager of DHMI Milas-Bodrum Airport, Iklal Kayaoglu, General Director of TAV Milas-Bodrum, the flight crew and airport officials.

This carrier SunExpress will carry tourists to Bodrum from seven German cities, including Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich, Cologne, Hanover and Berlin. All programs are scheduled seven days a week until October 26th.

Turkish speakers from among those present at the ceremony also talked about the new airlines that the resort is waiting for, as well as about the main plans of Bodrum. Thus, the CEO of TAV Milas-Bodrum, Iklal Kayaoglu, said that the resort “has begun to reap the benefits of the work that we have done with our stakeholders to extend the flight season in Bodrum. “This summer, airlines such as Jet Time Airlines, Smartwings Slovakia SRO, Norwegian Air Shuttle will organize flights to Milas-Bodrum Airport for the first time,” he noted.

In total, 56 air carriers from 75 cities will fly to Bodrum. Of these, only one Russian source has been announced by Turkish sources — this is St. Petersburg. The airport will host various airlines such as Jet2.com , Easy Jet, Freebird, Ryanair Sun, Corendon, Mavi Gök Aviation , Discover, SAS Scandian, Smartwings Slovakia SRO, Norwegian Air Shuttle. Other cities named include Liverpool, Belfast, Manchester, Cologne, Krakow, Vilnius and Beirut, St. Petersburg.
