Temporary work restrictions have been introduced at airports in two Russian cities. This was announced by the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency Artem Korenyako in the Telegram channel.
Restrictions were introduced at 09:30 Moscow time in Kazan and Nizhnekamsk. The airports of these cities are closed for receiving and sending aircraft, the source said. The planes heading to Kazan have been redirected to Samara and Ulyanovsk.
“Aircraft crews, air traffic controllers and airport services are taking all necessary measures to ensure flight safety — this is the main priority,” Korenyako stressed.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were shot down while trying to attack three regions of Russia. Air defense assets on duty destroyed three UAVs over the Belgorod, Ryazan and Saratov regions.
