Direct flights between Russia and Jordan, which appeared in the Royal Jordanian booking system, will shake up the market, but much will depend on the situation in the Middle East, said Sergey Golov, president of the Union of Travel Agencies, in a conversation with NSN.
“The direction is developing, they understand the prospects. But everything will depend on how the situation in the Middle East will be. Some tour operators had previously offered the country for travel, but the destination was unpopular. Direct flights will stir up the market and give tour operators the opportunity to work in hotels. We will need to look further. Jordan is not in great demand among workers yet, rather, Amman may become a transshipment hub. Perhaps someone will fly in Georgia via Amman, because it will be cheaper,” he told the National Assembly.
As reported in the news, from October 15, it is planned to fly to Amman twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. The cost of a one-way flight will start from 37 thousand rubles, round—trip – from 59 thousand rubles. Jordan Aviation has also been flying to Jordan on Sundays since this year.
Earlier it was reported that Chinese Hainan took the fourth place in the rating of cheap holidays for Russian tourists in August, losing to Anapa, Sochi and Abkhazia.
