How we went sea fishing in Sochi
We went sea fishing in Sochi in the first half of September, the weather was sunny and warm. We chose the start time at 16:00 to watch the sunset.
We booked the Black Sea fishing trip on the Tripster website. After making the prepayment, the organizers sent a confirmation and the address of the meeting place in Kudepsta.
We lived in the village of Khosta, next to Kudepsta, so we got to the place on our own by city bus. Other participants arrived at the port by minibuses from the Adler district and also left back in an organized manner after fishing (they ordered a transfer).
When everyone gathered, the organizers asked us to go to the catamarans (there were six of them in total). After a brief safety briefing, we took turns sailing down the Kudepsta River to the open sea. There were 3 couples and a family with two children on our catamaran.
Captain Nikita explained how to use the gear, and we enthusiastically started fishing in the open sea. It’s very simple: you need to lower the sinker to the very bottom and then slowly raise the rod, winding the line. There are 6 hooks on each rod, the fish is so small that even if 6 pieces were caught at once, it does not feel.
I was lucky and after three casts I caught several horse mackerels.
After that, the attention of the participants of the sea fishing turned to my neighbor, who caught a sea dragon with three poisonous thorns. First there was a photo shoot with a sea dragon, and then the captain took it off the hook in a safe way.
By evening, it became cool in the open sea, but, to my surprise, one young couple folded their fishing rods and went swimming. For their convenience and safety, a lifebuoy was thrown overboard. After bathing, the children were given blankets.
Meanwhile, the horse mackerel was caught by almost everyone and little by little we collected the right amount for the pan. The captain immediately fried it and invited us to a tasting. Everyone really liked the fresh fried fish!
On the way back, we took photos at sunset and fed the seagulls with leftover fish.
During the fishing trip, the captain also photographed us. When we returned, the magnets were already ready, anyone who wanted to could buy a souvenir.
Sea fishing in Sochi is an entertainment not only for fishermen, but for everyone in general. Three hours in the open sea, a productive catch, swimming and a beautiful sunset — everyone will find something to their liking.
