Passengers with children in the spring and autumn-winter periods can buy Russian Railways tickets with a 15 percent discount. The campaign “Travel with children” is held within the framework of the Year of the Family, announced by Presidential Decree, according to the official Telegram channel of the company.
The promotion applies to travel in long-distance compartment cars for all travelers traveling with children under 18 years of age. To receive a discount, it is necessary to issue travel documents for the child and his accompanying persons in one order, while tickets for no more than 4 people can be in one order. When buying a ticket in a compartment of a double-decker train for a child from 10 to 17 years old, you can also choose the “School” fare, which provides a discount of 50 percent of the fare in a reserved carriage.
During the summer season, passengers with children can use the year-round tariff plan “Big Family”, according to which they will be given a 15 percent discount on travel in a compartment for families with three or more children. Or buy tickets for the “Happy Holidays” promotion, according to which children from 10 to 17 years old receive a 50 percent discount on travel in reserved and shared carriages, as well as in double-decker compartment carriages.
