MAYOR: Russia expects to launch direct flights to Saudi Arabia in 2025
Russia expects to launch direct flights to Saudi Arabia in early 2025. Nikita Kondratiev, Director of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects of the Ministry of Economic Development (MAYOR), said this in an interview with TASS.
According to the source, the opening of direct flights will increase the tourist flow from this popular Islamic country by two to three times. Kondratiev added that it is too early to talk about launching direct flights to South Korea due to “certain geopolitical tensions.”
In May, it was reported that Russia wanted to launch direct flights to Malaysia. Dmitry Vakhrukov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, noted that work is currently underway on organizational issues.
