Rescuers evacuated the body of a Russian climber from the slope of Mount Elbrus with a height of 4.7 thousand meters. This is reported in the official Telegram channel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Kabardino-Balkar Republic.

It is clarified that the rescuers received a request for help from the participants of the ascent on Thursday, June 27. One of the three climbers became ill.

Employees of the Elbrus high-altitude search and rescue detachment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia moved to the site and found a lifeless resident of the Ryazan region born in 1965 on the slope. Presumably, the man had a heart attack.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that the body was handed over to investigators. The cause and circumstances of the tragedy are being established.

In May, a tourist from Europe fell into a ravine while climbing Mount Agung in Bali. A 23-year-old Dutch woman was seriously injured and could not be saved.
