Norway introduces additional entry restrictions for Russian tourists. This is reported by RIA Novosti
From May 29, Russian citizens arriving in the kingdom for tourist purposes, as well as for other purposes of “non-primary importance”, will be denied entry. At the same time, exceptions may be made for those visiting relatives, as well as those arriving in the country for work or study.
In 2023, Norwegian Minister of Justice and Emergency Situations Emily Mehl explained that Norway has not yet imposed a complete ban on Russians entering the country according to the Finnish model due to too few Russian citizens entering the country. At the same time, the practice of issuing visas to Russian citizens by the Norwegian authorities was tightened in May 2022.
