Large families, in which the third and subsequent child will be born before December 31, 2030, will be able to receive 450 thousand rubles for the payment of mortgage loans
Payments to families with three or more children in the amount of 450 thousand rubles for repayment of mortgage loans are extended for another seven years. This was stated at a government meeting by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The support measure will apply to large families in which the third and subsequent child will be born before December 31, 2030. “This will help parents take advantage of government assistance to purchase housing,” Mishustin said.
According to the Prime Minister, more than 600 billion rubles will be additionally needed for these purposes, including 50 billion rubles by the end of 2024. In 2023, about 190 thousand such payments were provided.
The amount received by a large family can be spent exclusively on repayment of a mortgage on residential real estate — a loan or interest on a loan. No other purposes are provided for this payment.
This support measure was launched in 2019. Initially, the program was valid until December 31, 2023, but then the government extended it until July 1, 2024. And in March of this year, the Ministry of Finance, on behalf of the President of Russia, developed a bill according to which the program will be extended until December 31, 2030. On April 22, the Ministry of Finance announced that the Commission of the Government of the Russian Federation on legislative activity (KDD) approved the bill. According to the agency, an additional 647.59 billion rubles will be required to extend the program of payments to large families to repay mortgages until 2030.
