In the December newsletter, the Turkish Institute of Statistics published statistics on housing sales in Turkey for November 2023.
In total, 93514 residential properties were sold in Turkey in November, of which 2,342 were sold to foreigners. Compared to November 2022, home sales to foreigners decreased by 61.5%, and the share of home sales to foreigners in the total volume was 2.5%. The most popular locations for foreign citizens are: Antalya — 790 objects, Istanbul — 710 objects, Mersin — 316.
If we consider the period January-November 2023, then home sales to foreigners decreased by 46.1% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 32941 objects.
Among foreign buyers, citizens of the Russian Federation purchased the most housing in Turkey. In November, they bought 637 residential properties in Turkey. Citizens of the Russian Federation are followed by citizens of Iran — 234 transactions, Ukraine — 128 transactions, Kazakhstan — 117 transactions.
