Foreigners have flocked to Russia en masse, with over 2.3 million tourists from abroad visiting the country since the beginning of 2024. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

According to Nikita Kondratiev, Director of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects of the Ministry, it is important to promote new tourist destinations.

Moreover, he noted the need to support local entrepreneurship for the growth of economic well-being.

Earlier it became known that residents of a number of Arab countries flocked to Sochi en masse. Over the summer, over 3,000 tourists from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain visited the Russian city.
