Demand for Thailand for New Year holidays has increased among Russians

The level of demand for tours with arrivals during the New Year holidays is almost 4.6 times higher than the same figures last year.

So, according to the “Fly.“, compared to last year, the volume of applications for travel to Thailand, Turkey — 3.2 times, Sri Lanka — three times, Russia — twice, the UAE — 1.7 times.

In addition, bookings to Vietnam, China, Italy, Spain, Tanzania, and Hong Kong have appeared. There is also a large volume of applications to the Maldives, Izvestia writes.

The top 10 foreign destinations for New Year holidays included Thailand (36% of total sales), Egypt (18%), the United Arab Emirates (11%), Turkey (4%), Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Maldives with identical indicators (3% each), China (2.4%), Cuba (1.7%), Abkhazia (1.3%).

Earlier it was reported that Chinese Hainan took the fourth place in the rating of cheap holidays for Russian tourists in August, losing to Anapa, Sochi and Abkhazia.
