China Eastern Airlines, a major Chinese airline, will operate direct scheduled flights between Shanghai and Kazan. The first flight between the Chinese metropolis and the capital of the Russian region of the Republic of Tatarstan is scheduled to take place on September 28, 2024. These flights will help businessmen and tourists from Kazan and neighboring cities not only get to China directly, but also, having made a convenient connection, go to Japan or South Korea.
Flights are scheduled 3 times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The airliner will depart from Shanghai Airport at 20:00 local time, and from Kazan Air Harbor at 12:30. Passengers on this route will be transported by Airbus A330 aircraft.
Tickets for flights between Shanghai and Kazan can be purchased on the airline’s official website, but you will have to use a plastic card issued by a foreign bank. The cost of one-way tickets at the most budget fare starts from about 23,000 rubles.
