In Iran, a mechanic got into a working airplane engine and did not survive. This was reported by Bild.

Abolfazl Amiri performed scheduled maintenance on the Boeing 737 of the Iranian domestic airline Varesh Airline, which arrived on the morning of June 9 from Tehran to Chahbehar Airport in the south of the country.

At that moment, the right engine of the aircraft was running, and a safety zone was organized around it. An employee of the harbor accidentally left a tool there, returned for it, and he was sucked in.

As a result, the aircraft engine caught fire, the airport rescue team quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. The mechanic could not survive. The incident is being investigated.

In May, a similar case occurred at Amsterdam airport. A man was sucked into the turbine of an airplane that was preparing to take off.
