It is clarified that the plane took off on Wednesday, March 6, and was supposed to land in the destination city in five to six hours. However, shortly after takeoff, one of the passengers felt unwell. The flight attendants realized that the woman was giving birth and asked for help from the doctors on board.
Under their supervision, the birth went well. The pilots decided to deviate from the course and land in Hamilton, Bermuda. A medical team met the mother and child there.
Earlier it was reported that a passenger of Ural Airlines gave birth on board a liner en route from Zhukovsky airport near Moscow to Dushanbe, and received money as a gift. Flight attendants and one of the passengers, who turned out to be a nurse, helped deliver the baby.
