An Australian tourist went on a long-awaited romantic trip with a girl in Europe and found himself paralyzed from the waist down after jumping off a bridge. The Daily Mail reports on the holiday that turned into a nightmare.
According to the tabloid, Jordan Theobald, 29, and his partner Laura Mahoney had been saving up for a trip for years and chose Bosnia and Herzegovina for the trip. There, the man decided to make an extreme jump from the famous bridge in Mostar, but the entertainment ended with a severe injury.
When landing in the water, the tourist broke his vertebrae, which made him unable to move his legs. Now Theobald has to go through a long path of treatment, as well as find money to return to his native Melbourne. The cost of medical care and transportation of the victim to Australia will amount to more than 100 thousand dollars (8.6 million rubles). The man’s family organized a fundraiser.
