The accident occurred near the seashore in the city of Arcachon. A 47-year-old woman from Angouleme, France, was riding on the water with her partner, and her 16-year-old daughters were on their own jet skis under the supervision of instructors. Despite this, the tourists collided at high speed.

The Frenchwoman suffered serious head injuries and was urgently taken to the hospital by helicopter. A few hours later, the tourist was gone. Her daughters and boyfriend suffered minor bruises.

Earlier, a Russian tourist who fell into a coma during a vacation in Turkey did not survive. Relatives of the Russian woman said that the insurance company covered the costs of treatment only after the scandal, when Gerasimova’s family recorded an appeal and asked to return her to her homeland.
