Russian travel blogger Marina Ershova lived in New Zealand, met a German there and visited him. She shared her impressions on her personal blog on the Zen platform.
According to the author of the publication, among the wide variety of tourists who would also like to visit the home of a German named Chris, he chose Ershova and her young man. “He says he respects Russians, he likes our culture, and, surprisingly, he knows enough about it,” the blogger wrote.

However, Chris admitted that the lifestyle of Russians is not close to him. “According to him, the Germans are completely for freedom of choice, freedom of speech, for protests, so that people do not tie their hands, so that they live with whoever they want. They change the sex, have abortions, arrange same—sex marriages, eat fatty sausages and drink excellent quality beer,” Yershova described life in Germany in such phrases.
The traveler noted that the foreigner told the story of his upbringing with such reverence that he almost cried from the memories that came flooding back. “He is an open, hospitable and overly honest person. In Russia, his openness would hardly be appreciated, and they would consider him crazy for his revelations,” the tourist concluded, adding that she and Chris had a different vision of the world.
Earlier, the same travel blogger stopped at a campsite, where several large companies of tourists from Germany arrived, and shared her impressions. She complained that the Germans were noisy and ill-mannered and did not clean up the mess in the morning.
