Railway communication between Russia and China may be resumed

Russian Railways is discussing the resumption of passenger rail service with China.

“The issue of resuming passenger traffic with China is being worked out — all parties are interested in this, especially the government of the Trans-Baikal Territory in connection with the congestion of the automobile checkpoint,” the Russian Railways press service said.

This initiative was announced during an online conference call of the holding’s management following the results of August and 8 months of 2024.

It is also known that at the construction sites of the Eastern Landfill and other projects of the Russian Railways construction complex, the positive dynamics of work performance remains 1.2 times ahead of schedule.
