How to get to Sochi Olympic Park
The Sochi Olympic Park is part of the Sirius Federal Territory, located in the Imereti Lowland near Adler. From all the villages of Greater Sochi, the Olympic Park can be reached by train. The terminal station is Olympic Park (Imereti resort).
The Lastochka high-speed electric train runs in this direction. It takes 48 minutes to get from Sochi and 13 minutes from Adler. There are trains from Rosa Khutor and Sochi International Airport (Adler). The train schedule depends on the season and day of the week, see Yandex Timetables or on the Russian Railways website.
Buses No. 57, 125 and minibus No. 124C run from the center of Adler to the Olympic Park. It is more convenient to use a minibus, it goes a short way for 15 minutes (excluding traffic jams).
You can get to the Olympic Park by car or taxi. Rent a car in Sochi.
We lived in the resort area of Imereti (Alpha Sirius) and walked to the Olympic Park.
Excursions to the Olympic Park
If you don’t want to go by public transport, buy an excursion to the Olympic Park. Tourists are taken by buses and told about the history of the Olympics. Individual excursions are more interesting and more intense, it is better to book them in advance.
There are guided tours of all Olympic venues, including the mountain cluster, evening fountain shows, with a stop at tastings and a visit to the Sky Park. You won’t see all these places on your own in one day.

At the entrance to the Olympic Park there are electric car drivers who offer to take a ride in the park with an excursion. The information will be minimal.
Olympic Park opening hours
The Olympic Park is open daily from 8:00 to 24:00, the exceptions are the days of preparation and holding of major cultural and sporting events.
You can arrive at the Olympic Park at any time: morning, afternoon or evening. In the daytime, it is good to explore the territory, take pictures, go to museums, ride on a race track or go–karting, have fun at an amusement park, in the evening – at a fountain show. Come to the Olympic Park no earlier than 10:00, when everything opens.

The Olympic Park covers an area of about 200 hectares. During the 2014 Winter Olympics, the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, indoor competitions (hockey, figure skating, curling, short track) were held here. After the Olympics, all facilities and infrastructure came into the possession of the city of Sochi, now it is the federal territory of Sirius.

To explore the entire territory of the Olympic Park, not to get tired and have more fun, rent a bicycle or other mechanical or electric means of transportation. Rental points are located in all parts of the park and on the embankment. It is allowed to ride electric scooters in the Olympic Park.

A visit to the Olympic Park involves an external inspection of the buildings, you can only get inside during competitions or shows. The exception is the Fisht Stadium, which is used for guided tours. It hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and the 2018 FIFA World Cup games. Now the Fisht Stadium is the home arena of the Sochi football club.
Ilya Averbukh’s ice show with the participation of figure skating stars is taking place at the Iceberg Winter Sports Palace. Hockey matches and concerts are held at the Bolshoi Palace. You can go ice skating at the Volosozhar and Trankova Training Center. The Academy of Martial Arts complex is designed for athletes, it arose as a result of the reconstruction of the former Ice Cube arena. The concert and theater complex will open in Sirius in December 2024.
The central (Medal) area of the Olympic Park is an open space of 48,000 m2, where the winners of the Olympics were awarded. There is a Wall of Fame on the “Medal Plaza”, on which the names of all Olympic and Paralympic medalists are engraved.
The Wall of Fame is incredibly popular with fans of photography, they create a real queue during the season. Another photo location is located at the Olympic Rings on the other side of the park, at the railway station. There you can take a beautiful picture against the background of a cascading fountain.
Sirius Autodrom
The Sirius Autodrom Motorsport complex (formerly Sochi Autodrom) is located on the territory of the Olympic Park. Entrance “A” of the Main Grandstand is closer to the Imereti Resort/Olympic Park railway station.
Guests of the Autodrom can visit the auto museum, go on a sightseeing tour, ride along the legendary Formula 1 track in a sports car or go karting. We tried everything.
Nick Panuli Auto Museum
Getting to know Sirius Autodrom is best to start with the Nick Panuli Auto Museum. It has a unique collection of racing and retro cars. The museum is self-guided, with accompanying plaques and an audio guide to help izi.travel .
Among the rare exhibits of the automuseum: the F1 car — Jaguar R5B 2004, the Lamborghini LM002 SUV from the TV series “Brigade 2” and the DeLorean sports car, known for the trilogy “Back to the Future”. All machines (more than 50) are maintained in working condition and go out for maintenance once a year.
The Nick Panuli Auto Museum has several thousand exhibits: car models, costumes of racers and mechanics, commemorative helmets, Pirelli calendars from 1964 to 2018, a photo gallery of Formula 1, a limited collection of Barbie dolls, books, paintings and much more. You can order a photo session at the museum, take a picture in a car, buy branded souvenirs.
Sirius Circuit Tour
Team tours of the Sirius Autodrome are held daily at 11:00, 14:00 and 16:00. Together with the guide, we looked into the world of “royal racing”, which is usually closed from prying eyes: the paddock, where riders and team personnel are accommodated during the competition, a box with access to the pit lane, a race control room, a podium where the winning pilots of all racing series are awarded.
On a tour of the Sirius Autodrom, we were told how the life of a racer on the track is arranged, how a pit stop is carried out in just a couple of seconds, why each team has its own cook on staff. In conclusion, we took pictures on the podium.
Sports car driving master class at Sirius Autodrom
The master class of driving a sports car on the Formula 1 track is the most demanded service of the Sirius Autodrom. There are 14 sports cars to choose from, from Renault CLIO RS4 to Lamborghini Huracan and Ferrari 458. These emotions are worth experiencing at least once in your life — 100% atmosphere of speed and drive is guaranteed!
Dmitry, the pilot of our TravelQ team, drove a racing Tesla M3 Performance (top speed 260 km/h). The instructor is driving the first lap, and the participant is driving the second. Professional photos and videos were taken in memory of the arrival.
The driver’s attendants during the race are in a box overlooking the pit lane and the Main Grandstand. They can follow him from the screens, meet him at the finish line and take a picture with the car.
Go-karting at Sirius Racetrack
The 880—meter-long Sirius Autodrom go-karting track is the largest rental go-karting in Southern Russia. 17 steep turns, asphalt pavement, the width of the track is safe for maneuvers. The Sirius Autodrome Park has modern Dino Leisure cards with a capacity of 6.5, 9, 11 liters/c and a supercard of 13 liters/c, there are double cards for 2 adults and an adult + a child.
I took part in a group race on the maps and got my shot of adrenaline. One race lasts 10 minutes, it seemed like an eternity to me. Before arrival, all participants are instructed and receive equipment (helmet and balaclava).
Anyone can drive a kart, even children from 4 years old, there is a separate track for them with Ninebot GoKart electric cars. A tournament is held on Saturdays at 11:00 at the Sirius Autodrom Karting.
Sochi Park
Sochi Park is an amusement park, Sochi Disneyland. In 2016, it entered the top 25 best parks in Europe. Currently, Sochi Park has 21 attractions of different levels, the most extreme: Quantum Leap, Firebird, Serpent Gorynych. There is a dolphinarium, playgrounds for the youngest, cafes, recreation areas.
The Ferris wheel “Wheel of Time” lifts guests to a height of 60 meters, opening a panorama of the entire Olympic Park and beyond. In the evening, the attraction shines with thousands of colorful lights.
The price of a ticket to Sochi Park depends on the time of visit and the method of purchase. It is profitable to buy tickets online with a discount. In summer, there are promotions for entrance tickets: evening fare, season tickets for 2 days / week / month. Children under 107 cm are accompanied by an adult for free.
Tatiana Navka’s ice show tours are taking place on the territory of Sochi Park. A visit to the show is included in the single entrance ticket.

Bogatyr Castle Hotel
The Bogatyr 4* Castle Hotel is located on the territory of Sochi Park. Staying in this hotel complex, stylized as a knight’s castle, you can ride all the attractions, slowly explore the Olympic Park, swim and sunbathe on the beach in summer, relax in the spa center with saunas and a swimming pool in winter. The accommodation includes breakfast and a visit to Sochi Park. In the evenings, the hotel is beautifully illuminated.
The Museum Center in the Olympic Park
The museum center building is located next to the Ferris wheel (12 Mezhdunarodnaya Street). It now houses two museums, with a separate ticket to each museum.
- The Nikola Tesla Electric Museum introduces the mysteries of electricity. During the show “Megavolt-the Lord of Lightning”, visitors are in a “Cage of fear”, where lightning strikes them.
- The Leonardo da Vinci Mechanical Museum tells about the inventions of the brilliant author, some of which can be put into action.
The exposition of the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony Museum has been moved to the Sochi Sports Glory Museum (26a Sovetskaya str.).
Sirius Planetarium in the Olympic Park
The Sirius Planetarium, opened in 2021 next to Fisht Stadium, is equipped with 16 laser projectors and a 10-channel sound system. The diameter of the dome is 26 meters — it is the second largest planetarium in Europe and the fifth in the world. In it, you can get acquainted with the history of the origin of the solar system, learn about the creation of the Buran spacecraft and sending a mission to the core of comet 67P Churyumov-Gerasimenko.
Popular science films for adults and cartoons for children are shown at the Sirius Planetarium. At the end of all sessions, a visit to the space exposition, which presents: a mock–up of the Energia-Buran space station, a mock–up of the Voskhod launch vehicle, a mock-up of the Soyuz – Apollo, Berkut and Orlan-ISS spacesuits.
Light and music fountain in the Olympic Park
The singing fountain show is one of the most fascinating spectacles, for which it is worth coming to the Olympic Park in the evening. The start depends on the season, up-to-date information about the opening hours is available on the official website of the Olympic Park. Duration 1.5 hours: 2 sections of 30 minutes each with a break. Is free.
You can go to the fountain show with a guided tour to get home quickly in the evening. The price includes a car transfer from the Central, Khostinsky and Adler districts of Sochi to book an excursion.

The modern engineering design of the Olympic Flame Bowl consists of 264 fountains with individual illumination, guns emit water to a height of 30-70 meters. Numerous spectators are standing at the very bowl of the fountain, on the pedestrian bridge passing through the Formula 1 highway, sitting on benches and grass.
In memory of visiting the Sochi Olympic Park, you can take pictures with the symbols of the Olympics and buy branded souvenirs. Souvenir shops sell sportswear and various small items with the symbols of the 2014 Olympics, the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Formula 1 races, and the city of Sochi.
I visit the Olympic Park every time I come to Sochi. Something happens and changes in it all the time — it’s a very impressive place!
