The transformation of the “gray belt” in St. Petersburg is not happening as quickly as previously planned. Moreover, in the new General Plan, the area of industrial territories has significantly increased until 2040, but the transfer of industrial zones to residential development has recently become more complicated. But redevelopment projects are still being implemented — so, according to St. Petersburg Real Estate, redevelopment sites for housing construction accounted for 28% of land transactions in the first half of 2024, and 7% for apartments. We will talk about how this process is happening now at the round table.
