The cable car was launched at VDNH as part of the attraction of the Orion amusement Park.
“The all-season attraction was named the Air Tram. In addition to the entertainment function, the VDNKh cable car also has a logistical one. The average trip duration is six minutes. Up to 1,000 people can travel by cable car in an hour,” the exhibition administration said in a statement.
This cable car is one of the highest in amusement parks in the world, its cabins are at an altitude of 32 m. It is also the longest cable car in Moscow — 769 m. Each of its 18 cabins is designed for eight people.
There are two stations on the VDNH cable car: Yuzhnaya is located at the main entrance to the exhibition, Severnaya is located near the Republic of Belarus pavilion and the Stone Flower Fountain.
