Tourists have been waiting for a one-week visa to Italy for 150 days

Туристы ждали недельную визу в Италию 150 дней

Tourists continue to reap the benefits of increased summer demand for visas to Europe. One of the tourists shared her experience of getting an Italian Schengen for a very long time.

She submitted her documents to the visa application center in St. Petersburg in mid-April. 45 days passed, then 60, but there was still no response. Attempts to clarify information about his passport did not bring any results – all that remained was to wait.

Only one thing saved – the documents were submitted in advance, the flight to Europe was scheduled for early September. The applicants, who already had experience of communicating with the St. Petersburg consulate, assured that the diplomatic mission of the country would issue documents on the eve of the trip and not before. They turned out to be almost right, but even in this case, the Italian consuls managed to be late:

“When applying, the flight was announced on September 2, and the passport was issued on that date, not earlier. According to their logic, we had to go with suitcases to get documents. Fortunately, they actually bought tickets for September 6 later, so the trip was not lost,” the tourist said on social networks.

I was also not pleased with the period for which the Schengen was given: “We waited 4.5 months to get a visa for only 9 days. It’s tough, of course, but it’s Peter. They probably remembered a joint last year – they went to Italy with an unopened Greek visa. So they gave at least something, and that’s good.”

Earlier TourDom.ru He wrote that the Italian consulate had increased the time for reviewing documents to 2 months.
