According to the press service of the Elbrus mountain resort in Kabardino-Balkaria, in September, the gondola cable cars to the Krugozor, Mir and Garabashi stations will be closed for three weeks.
The lifts will be closed for autumn maintenance work from September 2 to 22. The prolonged closure of the cable cars is due to the need to carry out a “major inspection” with the replacement of technical equipment after 22,500 hours of operation.
During the closing, tourists will be able to use the pendulum cable car, which will lift them to the Mir station at a height of 3,500 m.
As a result of the autumn works, the Elbrus resort will be able to guarantee the technical serviceability of cable cars and safety to vacationers.
The all-season mountain resort “Elbrus” is located on the southern slopes of Mount Elbrus on the territory of the natural park “Elbrus” in Kabardino-Balkaria. There are about 23 km of trails of varying difficulty and a network of lifts.
