In the first 6 months of 2024, vacation prices in Russia increased by 14%. This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Due to the active growing demand, prices for holidays in the country increased by 14% by last year. This is above inflation, we understand this problem, we are constantly dealing with it. But in order to further restrain price growth, the key factor in deterrence is the supply of room stock,” he said Reshetnikov, RIA Novosti reports.
In July, Rosstat reported that the cost of an economy class flight in Russia has increased by more than a third since the beginning of the year. In turn, the cost of living in a hostel increased by 5.4%, in one-star hotels and motels – by 11.3%, with two stars – by 12.5%, with three stars – by 13.2%, in sanatoriums – by 16.7%, and in hotels with four or five stars – by 19.6%.
