Large jellyfish appeared on the beaches of Turkish Antalya

На пляжах турецкой Анталии появились большие медузы

According to the Turdom portal, an invasion of large jellyfish is observed in Antalya (Turkey). Marine life is found all along the coast of Antalya province and in the resort city itself, but most of them are in the Lara area.

Jellyfish are quite large, there are individuals with a diameter of up to half a meter and weighing up to 3-5 kg. The largest jellyfish in shallow water are caught by special services, but there are so many of them that it is impossible to completely clean the shore.

Tourists note that these jellyfish, although not poisonous, are still not completely safe: touching them causes burning and irritation of the skin.

Scientists believe that large jellyfish were brought to the coast of Antalya from the Red Sea, and in a few days they will leave the waters of the resort. Therefore, tourists do not have to worry: in the summer, these unpleasant marine life will not be in Antalya.

The weather has been warm in Antalya in recent days. According to forecasters, today the air temperature was +27 °C, and the water temperature was +20 °C.
