Turkish Istanbul in February was visited by about 140,000 tourists from Of Russia. Our compatriots are the leaders in the tourist flow. This is reported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey.
In total, Istanbul received 1.3 million foreign tourists in February. And in January and February, 2.46 million guests from abroad visited the city. This is 8% more than in the same period a year earlier.
Most often, in addition to Russians, guests from Germany, Iran, Great Britain and France come to Istanbul.
It is clarified that in February, Istanbul accounted for 56% of all foreign tourists who arrived in Turkey. The total tourist flow to the country in January—February amounted to 4.3 million people.
In 2023, Istanbul received about 17.4 million foreign tourists, and Turkey as a whole — 49.2 million. Russia has become a leader in tourist traffic.
