From August 11, 2024, the Leningradsky Railway Station building will be closed in Moscow due to repairs, the press service of Russian Railways reports. The deadlines for the completion of the work are called. Both suburban and long–distance trains will arrive and depart on schedule, however, passengers should take into account that the path to the trains – the scheme of passage to the platforms will change. Since the station building will be closed, passengers will not be able to use the waiting rooms and storage rooms, cafes, shops and toilets – for all this they will have to go to the neighboring Yaroslavsky railway station.
The first and second entrances to the Komsomolskaya metro station will be closed, they will continue to work only at the exit. Other entrances to this station will continue to operate as usual.
During the renovation, it is planned to modernize and technically re-equip the building, update its roof and facade, change the layout inside the premises, improve the forecourt and integrate the station into the unified Moscow transport system.
